ALEX GRAHAM BELL
3 March 1847 - 2 August 1922)

Influenced by his mother and wife, who were both hearing-impaired, A.G. Bell had dedicated his lifetime research into hearing and speech, resulted in the invention of the first practical telephone in 1876. His invention allowed the human voice to be clearly and intelligibly replicated for the first time, and proved to be perhaps the greatest ever revolution in communications.

Founder of the eponymous luxury giant, COCO CHANEL was a prolific French fashion designer whose work had a profound influence on clothing, accessories, jewellery and fragrances. She remains a fashion icon to this day.
